Ten reasons to choose Coate Water Care for your loved ones

Coate Water Care has been providing outstanding residential care for 27 years now. Here are just some of the reasons your loved ones, especially people living with dementia, are in good hands with us.

1. Family values. Coate Water Care was founded by husband and wife team Geraldine and Chris Smith in 1995 and it remains very much a family concern with sons Jamie and Nick also in senior roles now. We pride ourselves on our family values and all four family members are trained care professionals who take a hands-on caring role when required.

2. Our professional staff. We never lose sight of the fact that the ‘care’ in ‘care homes’ is provided by people and we firmly believe that the best way to guarantee the most professional care possible for all our residents and patients is by investing in our ‘human capital’. Without our highly trained and dedicated staff it would be impossible to provide the caring and safe environment that we pride ourselves on.

3. Bespoke diet. We invest a huge amount of time and effort into making sure that the food and drink that we prepare for both our residents and our shorter term patients is healthy and enjoyable. The key to getting this right can be summed up in one phrase – when it comes to the perfect diet, one size does not fit all.

4. Different types of care service. We provide a full range of care services, including residential care, respite care, nursing care, dementia care, day care services and end of life care. Our experienced and empathetic managers are always available to discuss the most suitable options for your loved one.

5. Investment. Coate Water Care prides itself on being a family business with a caring, personal touch, but it is also forward-thinking and invests heavily in the upkeep of its beautifully decorated and well-equipped properties. We constantly invest in the luxury facilities at our nine care homes. As an example, we recently invested more than £4 million in a premium makeover of Mockley Manor in Warwickshire.

6. Respect from our peers. Testament to Coate Water Care’s high standards is the fact that we were voted National Care Association Member of the Year 2019 and the fact that we are trusted partners of several local authorities and NHS Commissioners.

7. Care home activities. Every Coate Water Care home has a dedicated Activities Organiser whose job is to make sure that every resident has the opportunity for mental as well as physical stimulation. This can be anything from movie sessions to sensory gardening, music performances and outings.

8. Care-centric technology. Up-to-date technology monitors and records patient histories, diagnosis and daily living requirements, so that care can be tailored to each person’s individual needs.

9. Pricing. We are a fairly priced care provider, who remain transparent with current costings, communicating clearly any annual uplift caused by inflation. We remain sustainable by planning for future investments and maintaining our current portfolio on a continual basis.

10. “We care because you care.” Every single person we care for will receive the best possible attention and care. At Coate Water Care, we are passionate about providing the personalised care your loved ones – parents, husbands, wives, partners, brothers, sisters, dear friends – deserve.
