Our qualified nurses and experienced carers also provide specialist care for residents with palliative care needs. Westley Court has been recognised as an official ‘Dignity Champion’ by the Dignity in Care network, which confirms that our staff believe passionately that being treated with dignity is a basic human right, not an optional extra.

A physically active lifestyle can significantly improve people’s quality of life at all stages of dementia. Westley Court’s full-time Activities

Organiser works hard to incorporate people’s hobbies into their daily routine. Some residents enjoy being pampered by beauticians. Others prefer sitting peacefully with their favourite carer in our extensive grounds where they can savour lakeside views and pretty canals. Other guests prefer more lively activities, from bespoke exercise sessions, live music and baking classes to visits to local parks, Christmas parties and theatre trips.

Residents and their families told us staff were kind and caring, and very supportive. One relative said they were, ‘Absolutely fantastic, I cannot speak highly enough’. Another said, ‘The staff are wonderful, they genuinely care’. We were told, ‘The registered manager is lovely and all the staff are very welcoming, they care for the family too’.
