Sensory Garden provides residents with peaceful outdoor stimulus. There is nothing quite like an English country garden and Downs View’s Sensory Garden has been especially designed to help people with dementia enjoy the nation’s great pastime. This stimulating outdoor space with shaded areas and non-slip soft flooring gives residents the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of colourful flowers, scented plants, aromatic herbs, water features and wind chimes. It has even got its own Pets Corner and aviary!

Opened by family-run providers Coate Water Care in 2008, Downs View Care Centre offers exceptional residential, day care and respite care, including 24-hour care for people living with dementia. Our qualified nurses and experienced carers also provide specialist care for residents with palliative care needs.
Downs View Care Centre sits in the rural hamlet of Badbury between Swindon and Marlborough, just one mile from M4, Junction 15. The home enjoys spectacular views to the Marlborough Downs and is a delightful place to live or spend time for Day or Respite Care.
Downs View offers a range of bespoke single and double rooms with en-suite facilities. We encourage residents to decorate their rooms with cherished family photos and keepsakes to make them feel at home. Gorgeous home-cooked meals are prepared on the premises by our qualified chefs using fresh ingredients sourced daily from local suppliers.
