Chris and Geraldine Smith, the founders of Coate Water Care, have been committed to quality care since 1995 when they opened their first small care home in Old Town, Swindon. From small acorns, Chris and Geraldine have expanded their business with the emphasis on careful and measured growth – when dealing with elderly people’s quality of life the key is to get things exactly right. The small details count.
The company now owns and runs nine care homes. This expanding concern now includes senior roles for Chris and Geraldine’s sons, Nick and Jamie. All four family members are trained care professionals who take a hands-on caring role when required. As well as being a qualified Care Manager, Jamie is also the in-house patient-handling trainer.
Coate Water Care prides itself on being a family business with a caring, personal touch, but it is also forward-thinking and invests heavily in the upkeep of its properties and in the exceptional staff that run them. Up-to-date technology monitors and records patient histories, diagnosis and daily living requirements, so that care can be tailored to each person’s individual needs.
“We take enormous satisfaction in providing a comfortable and safe environment for the people we are entrusted with caring for. People choose Coate Water Care for their loved ones for one simple reason, because we care.”
